  • Leaders Through Sport Programme

    The second module of the ActiveSG’s Leaders Through Sport (LTS) Programme was held from 4 September to 6 September 2017. The overnight camp comprised of students from 6 secondary schools plus nominated participants from Beyond Social Services. LTS provides students with a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills while using sport as a platform to bring out teachable moments unique to the sporting arena.

  • Game for Life Workshop for Coaches

    25 Jul

    The bi-annual Game-for-Life (GFL) workshop organised by CoachSG’s Character & Leadership Development (CLD) Team saw 30 coaches from multiple sports coming together to learn about intentionally designing values into training sessions. The session ended with the coaches getting the opportunity to design & deliver sport activities based on the GFL training template.

  • Evergreen Secondary School (EVGSS) reaps benefits through Game For Life framework

    In 2012, Evergreen Secondary School (EVGSS) partnered Sport Singapore (SportSG) to implement the Game For Life (GFL) framework in the physical education (P.E.) curriculum. The teachers have found GFL to be beneficial and have shared the use of the framework with other schools since 2013.

  • Game for Life Adapted for Youth at Risk

    21 Sep

    Sport Singapore (SportSG) and the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the adaptation of SportSG’s Game For Life (GFL) framework for youth-at-risk. The MSF worked closely with Sport Singapore, National Arts Council and various youth agencies to ensure that the adapted framework would be suitable for use in both sports and arts programmes.

  • Game for Life Workshop for Coaches

    16 Sep

    A 2nd Game-for-Life (GFL) workshop was organised for territorial invasion sport coaches. Coaches experienced a values-based basketball session conducted by Junior NBA Coach Tom Kelsey followed by Mr. Gobinathan Nair teaching the GFL framework as a structured approach to infuse values within coaching sessions.
