‘Badminton Coaching – A Holistic Approach’ by CoachSG and NROC Coaches

(For NROC Badminton Coaches)


This practical workshop is to introduce a holistic approach in designing a training session for a “Learn to Play” group which includes technique development, body conditioning and mental skills preparation in both training and competitions.

The objectives of this workshop are: 

  1. To list the aspects of a holistic training session.
  2. To teach and correct techniques as and when it is necessary
  3. To deliver suitable supplementary physical exercise to improve badminton play.

This is a practical session and participating coaches should:

  • Be dressed in appropriate sports attire; and
  • Bring along their own rackets, towel and water bottle.

About the NROC Coach Presenter

Coach Yeo Meng Seng is a NROC Senior Coach and has been coaching for 20 years in schools and public. His coaching philosophy is to assist his local athletes to achieve their fullest potential in badminton. He has also travelled to other countries to learn about the different types of training methodology which has helped him to be a better coach.
