“Footwork, Agility Skills and Dynamic Movement Patterns” by Netball Singapore (For All Coaches)

2 sessions will be held, one for Elite Coaches and another for Secondary School Coaches. The Secondary School Coaches session is applicable for coaches of these players whilst the Elite Coaches session is more applicable for coaches of senior and more experienced athletes.

These workshops aim to help improve athletes’ footwork and agility, as well as sharpen their decision-making skills. The workshops will be conducted by Mr. Jason Gregory (Strength and Conditioning Coach).

Mr. Jason Gregory has more than 20 years of experience in strength and conditioning in a variety of sports such as basketball, canoe polo, netball, rugby and tennis. Some of his key experiences include:

  • Physical Trainer for New Zealand Women’s Basketball team, Beijing Olympics
  • Physical Trainer for New Zealand Women’s Canoe Polo team, Taipei World Cup
  • Regional physical trainer for New Zealand Silver Ferns (Netball)
  • Strength and Conditioning Coach, Coca-Cola Red Sparks Japan Rugby Union
  • Physical Trainer, Canterbury High Performance Tennis Squad

At both workshops, Mr. Jason Gregory will demonstrate how to incorporate speed and agility into a team training session whilst focusing on decision-making and ball handling at the same time. As the intensity of the activities increases, athletes will be progressively challenged to make good decisions and demonstrate good footwork and ball control.
