Specially designed to help sport educators and coaches inculcate values in a clear and comprehensive way, Sport Singapore’s Game-for-Life (GFL) toolkit presents sporting pursuits as opportunities for character development and learning valuable life lessons.The Game for Life practical workshop will equip sport educators with a deeper understanding of the necessary components required to intentionally design sporting activities to develop values for character development.
Participants can expect the following:
- Practical Demonstration of Values-based training session
- Principles and concepts of the Game-for-Life (GFL) framework
- Experiential segment infusing GFL framework in designing training plans
- Sharing and networking with coaches from other sports

Pre-requisites
|
This workshop is suitable for sport coaches, PE teachers and educators with a keen interest on using sport as a platform for character develop. Individuals must be able to commit to complete all pre-session and post-session requirements of the workshop.
- Pre-Session (Pre-reading / E-Learning)
- Principles and concepts of the Game-for-Life (GFL) framework
- Online Discussions on GFL Framework
- Post-Session
- Lesson Plan Submission based on GFL Framework
- Feedback & Review of Lesson Plan by Trainer
Approx Learning Hours:
Pre-Workshop: 1 Hour, Workshop: 4 Hours, Post-Workshop: 2 Hours

CCE hours
|
Upon completion of the workshop, participants who are registered NROC coaches will be able to clock CCE hours based on the total duration of the workshop.
*Coaches can also claim CCE Training Allowances under the Sports Resilience Package for this workshop upon completion.
