‘Communicating with Athletes: Speak Less, Learn More’ by Basketball Association of Singapore (BAS)

(For NROC Basketball Coaches only)


This clinic will touch on topics such as:

  • Communication with athletes
  • Ways to provide feedback
  • Understanding the motivation of players

All participating coaches should be in their sports attire as this clinic will be an on-court session.

About the Presenter

This clinic will be presented by Ms Annie La Fleur (World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC) Level 1 Instructor and FIBA Oceania’s Development Manager). She is an Olympic Silver medallist with the Australian Women’s National Team from the 2000 Sydney Games. She played in the Australian Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) for the Sydney Flames from 1994 to 2001, winning 3 championships in 1993, 1997 and 2001. She has also appeared in 3 world championships, and spent 4 seasons in the WNBA with the Minnesota Lynx in 1999 and the Washington Mystics from 2001 to 2003.
