'Fundamental Movement Skills Assessor Course' by Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP)
(For All NROC Coaches)
This course teaches you how to assess FMS for kids aged 3 to 10 years old through the use of an App-based application.
This is a 2 full-day certification course. It is interactive and engaging, and utilises several teaching methodologies such as case studies discussion, role-plays and hands-on experience.
Participants will be able to:
- Acquire essential knowledge and skills to assess the FMS competencies of children aged between 3 to 10 years of age
- Learn the use of the FMS assessment for kids App and manage parent-child data with Assessor’s portal
In-class assessments will be conducted. Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass assessments.
- 18 years old and above
- Preferred but not required: National Coaching Accreditation Programme (NCAP) Certificate, SG-Coach Certificate or its equivalent, Degree or Diploma in Physical Education (PE) or Sports Science
About the Course Presenter
This course is conducted by Mr Edgar Tham (Sport & Performance Psychologist). Edgar has worked with more than 40 different performance domains (e.g. sports, music, performing arts, military, civil defence, business, sales, online forex/futures trading, motor racing, professional poker, etc) from the schools to world championships level since 1993.
