Play-Ability Programme
Play-Ability is a recreational sports programme designed for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). The programme promotes physical well-being, social inclusion, encourage social interaction and friendship-building and for those who have acquired sports skills to continue playing regularly in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.Following the 2024 Disability Sports Master Plan Refresh announcement, Play-Ability has strengthened its commitment to fostering an inclusive sporting ecosystem by expanding its programmes and services for persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Who Can Join
Play-Ability provides sport opportunities for:
Special Education School Graduates
PWDs with limited access to regular sport programmes (e.g. residents of disability home)
PWDs who have difficulty participating in regular sport programmes (e.g. autism support group)
Volunteering Opportunities Available
Play-Ability Sports Buddy:
SportCares welcomes regular volunteers to join Play-Ability sessions to serve as befrienders to the beneficiaries of the programme. As a Sports Buddy you will:
Assist the Tennis, Soundball, Basketball and Badminton coaches before and after the training sessions to set up and clean up the field of play
Support, interact and play with the participants
Assist the coaches with activity demonstration if needed
Providing encouragement and social support
Most importantly, put a smile on someone’s face!
