Sponsorship Master Classes - 22 March
The second series of sponsorship master classes organised by the Asian Sponsorship Association (ASA) culminated in The ASA Exchange where a total of 12 National Sports Associations (NSA) got to try their hand at pitching to sponsors at the Sports Hub on 22 March 2016.
The ASA Exchange was a chance for participants to apply what they have learnt through the courses. They attended a basic “Seeking Sponsorship” class and/or an advance level of “Sponsorship War Room” class. Topics covered include how to seek out sponsors, measure and activate sponsorships effectively. Each participant also underwent an hour of consultation with the trainer. The entire series then ended off with The ASA Exchange, a “speed-dating” format whereby participants only have five minutes to bring their A game and pitch to potential sponsors.
11 potential sponsors from small medium enterprises and multi-national companies across various industries attended The ASA Exchange.
“Whatever we accomplished here in 90 minutes will take us 2 months to do,” said Edwin Ker, Executive Director of Singapore Swimming Association (SSA), who was delighted with how effective the organization of this speed dating was. The brands were interested to listen, and SSA now has good leads to follow up with.
With the resounding success of “The ASA Exchange”, NSAs can look forward to more of such sessions.
