Singapore is indeed privileged to be hosting the International Athlete Services Forum (IASF) 2016, which will be held in Asia for the very first time. The IASF 2016 is jointly organized by the Singapore Sports Institute (SSI) and the newly set-up National Youth Sports Institute (NYSI).
- To share best practices and research in high performance athlete lifestyle, career and education, programme management and practical service delivery.
- To promote the development of elite athlete lifestyle programmes globally as a community.
- To share key insights in Thought Leadership which will help build our communities and strengthen international collaborations.
The conference theme: "Generative Communities : From Ambo to Agora" is essentially about building living, vibrant communities premised on seeding more generative conversations which will facilitate the growth of new ideas, new possibilities and new collaborations. The word 'Ambo' originates from the Ancient Greek concept of 'pulpit', whilst 'Agora' relates to the concept of ‘a gathering place’ in ancient Greek city states. Metaphorically, this symbolizes a paradigm shift in the way we converse and connect, primarily through breaking down barriers and building up bridges.
The conference will be held at the iconic Singapore Sports Hub.
