Description

At this clinic, Stephan will discuss about elite athlete pathways development. Different phases of the athlete development pathway and their key milestones will be covered.

Key topics of the workshop include:

  • Where ​does elite athlete development ​begin;
  • ​Stages ​of ​progression;
  • Daily ​training environment and culture to promote growth for elite athletes;
  • Process-driven ​coaching ​excellence

One of the world’s most creative and progressive coaches, Stephan Widmer is the Head Coach of Swimming Queensland and has gained vast experience with development programmes.

During his time in Australia, he has groomed swimmers like Libby Trickett, Jessicah Schipper, Leisel Jones, Jo Fargus, Melanie Schlanger and Jade Edmistone to success on the international stage.
