Description

Mr John O’Sullivan, author of ‘Changing the Game Project’ and the world renowned TED talk ‘Change the Game in Youth Sports’, will be conducting a series of sports education talks at UWCSEA Dover in the week 6-12 February 2017. In particular, the following talks would be of interest to sports coaches:

Synopsis of each talk are as follow:

  • The Role of the Coach in Developing Youth Athletes’ – Based on child development research, studies about what kids want from sport, and using the guidance of top coaches in the game, John will be giving tips and strategies on how they can maximise sport as a tool to develop the skills and values of youth athletes.
  • ‘The Parents’ Role in Youth Sports’ – Using the latest scientific data and experience of world-class coaches, John will help guide parents how best to find and develop their child’s sporting passion in life to its maximum. If your son or daughter plays recreational sport for fitness and fun or, if they are an aspiring competitive athlete hoping to compete for a club, school, country or perhaps an NCAA scholarship, John is able to offer unique insight about how parents can best guide their children.
