Sharing Session on Disability Team Sports (For Team Sports Coaches only)


This workshop will provide participants with better knowledge and understanding of disability team sports, such as the challenges arising from coaching disability team sports, as well as accompanying rules, regulations and classifications of the sports. In the workshop, the speakers will also share the differences between coaching abled-bodied and disability sports teams.

The speakers will be:

  • Mr Mohamed Zainudeen – also known as Coach Zai, Mr Zainudeen has more than 10 years of experience in coaching football. His coaching experiences include Milo Soccer School, Hwa Chong Junior College and Balestier Central’s Centre of Excellence (COE). He currently coaches the Singapore Cerebral Palsy (CP) Football Team and Hong Kah Secondary School. His main achievements include the National CP Football Team’s 3rd placing at the Dream Asia Football Tournament, Abu Dhabi in 2012 and Hong Kah Secondary School’s Double Champions in National Schools Football Tournament in 2012 and 2014. He possesses the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) ‘A’ Coaching Diploma.
  • Mr Hansen Bay – also known as Coach Hansen, Mr Bay has been involved with sport, fitness and education for more than 20 years. He has worked with athletes ranging from kids to state players. He is also the Head Coach for Singapore’s National Goalball Team and regularly uses this Paralympic sport for the blind to teach sighted athletes mental skills associated with focus, confidence, trust and teamwork.
