“United World Wrestling Level 1 Coaching Course” by Wrestling Federation of Singapore (WFS) (For Martial Arts and Rugby Coaches)
This course, organised through the Olympic Solidarity movement, teaches participants how to coach wrestling with the following contents:
Roles and responsibilities of the coach (e.g. safety and risk assessment, dealing with young people and parents, Code of Ethics, anti-doping)
Development projects/programmes run by United World Wrestling
Fundamental technical development (e.g. techniques, drills, attack and defence)
The course conductors will be Mr David Lopez and Mr Andrey Vorontsov. Both are Regional Development Officers at United World Wrestling, where David focuses on wrestling video analyses, academic research and coach education while Andrey provides analytical skills and perspectives gained through his international athletic and coaching experiences.
Possess basic wrestling or grappling experience
Have NCAP Level 1 or equivalent coaching accreditation
Contribute to the development of wrestling upon successful completion of the course
Be dressed in T-shirt, shorts, wrestling or clean non-marking/court/wushu shoes (sole must be cleaned and will be for mat usage only)
This course shall comprise:
A practical examination (60%; competency-based), and
A theory examination (40%; on fundamental wrestling knowledge)
Participants must obtain a minimum overall score of 60/100 to obtain the diploma. Full attendance is mandatory.

Deposit of S$200 per pax to be paid by 30 November 2015 (Monday) by cash or cheque.
The deposit will be returned to the participant upon successful completion of the course, provided that the participant:
Has recorded full attendance at the course; and
Passes both practical and theory examinations
