Application for September 2014/15

The application for programme endorsement for SEP 2014/15 is open from 10 June to 12 August 2013. 

We invite you to submit your application(s) via our SEP Online Portal. All deadlines must be submitted by 12 August 2013, 2359hrs. 

Late applications will strictly not be entertained.

Application Process


Apply for a Login Account. Upon approval, you will receive a login ID and a password to your account. 

Your Login Account will allow you to: 

  • Subscribe to our mailing list
  • Receive the latest information pertaining to SEP
  • Submit online applications for endorsement (every two years during the submission window period)
  • View information on your submissions and check your endorsement status



Sports Providers offering the 34 sports types will need to have their instructors/coaches registered under the National Registry of Coaches. During the two-year endorsement period, NROC-registered instructors/coaches will also be invited to attend clinics, workshops, and conferences as part of the NROC requirement on continuing education.

    • National Coaching Accreditation Programme Technical Equivalent:
      If coaches are not equipped with NCAP Technical Level 1, Sports Service Providers will be required to their coaches’ relevant technical certificate equivalent.
    • National Coaching Accreditation Programme Theory Courses:
      Course Schedules are available for NCAP Theory Level 1, NCAP Theory Level 2 and NCAP Theory Level 3. Registration can be done at NCAP online.
    • National Coaching Accreditation Programme Theory Accreditation*:
      If coaches are not equipped with NCAP Theory but have other prior learning / experience / certificates, Sports Service Providers may seek NCAP Theory Accreditation^ for them.

^Accreditation level will depend on evidence of prior learning. To seek NCAP Theory Accreditation:

  • Complete the NCAP Theory Accreditation Form
  • Attach evidence of relevant documentary proof of prior learning, such as:
    • Academic/coaching certificates
    • Transcripts with/and brief course descriptions
    • Evidence of coaching experience (letters of appreciation, coaching awards, etc.)

*The NCAP Theory Accreditation process takes up to 4 weeks. 


All Sports Service Providers offering SEP programmes from 2014 onwards will require their instructors/coaches to complete the NSYS workshop Modules 1, 2 and 3. 

Instructors/coaches who are unable to complete the National Standards for Youth Sports (NSYS) workshop by 12 August 2013 will be required to submit a softcopy of the registration confirmation of the NSYS workshop. 

This can be done during programme submission (under the NSYS submission tab). The deadline for this is 12 August 2013.

At least one instructor/coach must complete the NSYS workshop by 15 November 2013 for the programme to be eligible for endorsement in 2014/15.

All Sports Providers offering swimming programmes will require their instructors/coaches to be:

    • SwimSafer Certified^ 
    • Equipped with minimum NCAP Theory Level 1 (or its equivalent)
    • Equipped with NCAP Technical Level 1 (or its equivalent) 
    • Recognised with valid First Aid certification

The instructor to student ratio for all swimming programmes must be kept at 1:10 with the exception of programmes offered to Special Education schools, which have a lower ratio.

^SwimSafer Certification

It is a requirement for all swimming instructors to be registered with NROC before they can enrol in the SwimSafer Instructor Course. Places for this course will be allotted on a first-come-first-served basis.

All instructors/coaches are required to complete the Instructor/Coach’s Acknowledgement Form.

The form must be included by Sports Service Providers together in their submissions for the SEP 2014/15 programme endorsements.

Instructors/coaches must be equipped with a valid recognised Standard First Aid Certificate at point of submission and at point of conduct of programme. SSC has compiled a List of SSC Recognised First Aid courses


Once all requirements have been met, you may proceed to submit your programme details. Check all details thoroughly, as you will not be able to make any amendments upon submission. 

When all programme details have been submitted, you may submit your programs for endorsement. More than one programme may be input for endorsement.
