Sport Singapore (SportSG) has initiated the termination of the Sports Hub Public-Private Partnership project agreement and will take over the ownership and management of the Singapore Sports Hub. It has reached a mutual agreement with SportsHub Pte Ltd (SHPL) over the termination and the process of handover, and will officially take over the Sports Hub on 9 December 2022.

Singapore has announced Singapore25, its bid to host the World Athletics Championships in 2025. If successful, this would be the first time the global blue-ribbon event will be hosted in Southeast Asia. 2025 will be Singapore’s 60th year of independence and this premier event and festival of sport would be a fitting addition to the nation’s celebrations.

Referencing this year’s National Day Parade’s theme - “Together Our Singapore Spirit”, GASG 2021 will feature fitness and dance workshops, live event streaming and online campaigns that will see the community participating together, in true SG United spirit.

With COVID-19 safe management measures in place, Singaporeans can continue to stay active and celebrate Singapore’s 56th National Day through sport. The GetActive! Singapore (GASG) 2021 campaign will offer activities in both virtual and physical settings for everyone to play and celebrate our nation’s birthday. Sport Singapore (SportSG) has organised an exciting line-up of sport festivals, competitions, and fun activities suitable for all ages and abilities. These events will run from 23 July to 8 August at the Singapore Sports Hub, selected ActiveSG sport centres and community spaces.
