Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Course

(For All NROC Coaches)

Description

The Australian Strength and Conditioning Association Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach Accreditation Course (ASCA Level 1 Course) is registered with the National Coach Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) and administered by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC).

 

The ASCA Level 1 Course provides a fundamental level of knowledge and skills in strength and conditioning (S&C) coaching so participants can understand, apply and design training programmes to improve the performance of club to regional level athletes / teams. 

About the Presenters

The course lecturers will be:

  • Mr Gobi Nair has more than 30 years of experience in sports science, exercise physiology, fitness and coaching. His experience spans the education, military, sports and corporate sectors. He brings along with him practical and innovative approaches to training.
  • Mr Quintin Roman has close to 20 years of experience in personal training to training elite athletes in a wide range of sports and includes athletes training for the Asian and Olympic Games.
  • Mr Julian Lim has been involved in high performance strength and conditioning for the past decade for national and amateur level athletes. He also completed his master degree in strength and conditioning research, investigating the efficacy of post-activation performance enhancement (PAPE) protocols in enhancing athletic performance. Julian is an NSCA Certified S&C Specialist & Accredited ASCA Professional L2 coach. He also maintains coaching certifications with World Athletics & Australian Weightlifting Federation.
  • Mr Hidayat has more than a decade of experience as a sports coach and physical preparation specialist across various sports and levels of competitions. His experience encompasses coaching and providing sports science support to the general population, youth, professional football, and Paralympic sport athletes

  • 2 March 2023 (Thursday), 7pm to 9pm

Practical (Face-to-face):

  • 4 March 2023 (Saturday), 8.30am to 5.30pm
  • 5 March 2023 (Sunday), 8.30am to 5.30pm

Full attendance is a must for all sessions.

Cost & Payment

Registration fee: S$800 per pax

The registration fee includes ASCA L1 course materials, certification upon successful completion, administration fees, lunch and tea / snacks.
