Sports Injury Prevention and Management

(For All NROC Coaches)

Description

Whether you are a highly trained athlete or an individual who likes to exercise, there is always a chance that you will get an injury. When injuries happen, it can be daunting if you don’t know how to treat it.

This workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Types of sports injuries
  • Common sports injuries and how to identify them
  • Methods to prevent injuries

The desired outcomes of this workshop are:

  • Participants have a good understanding of and able to identify the various types of sports injuries
  • Participants to bring back knowledge and practical skills of the various methods to prevent and manage injuries

About the Presenter

This workshop will be facilitated by Mr Roy Chan. Roy has a Masters in Sports Science from Edith Cowan University and has 4 years of lecturing experience at his Alma Mater. He is currently the Business Unit Head of Fitness Training and Sports Conditioning Academy (FITSA) under Force 21.
