Season planning is one of the key skills for sports coaches. How can coaches improve their season planning skill in order to boost their athletes’ performance? At this workshop, coaches will be able to:
- Understand the considerations for planning a seasonal programme
- Explain the strategies used for planning a seasonal programme
- Demonstrate an ability to plan a full season for a specific sport
About the Presenter
This workshop will be conducted by Mr Kunalan Canagasabai. Mr Kunalan is an educator, as well as one of Singapore’s most iconic former national athletes. A former national sprinter and relay runner, Mr Kunalan clocked 10.38s at the Mexico City Olympic Games’ 100m competition in 1968, a record which stood for 33 years. He was named Sportsman of the Year in 1968 and 1969.
