Coaches Circle Time 03: Teacher-Coach's Contribution to Football by CoachSG and Football Association of Singapore (FAS) Coach Education & Development

At this sharing session, Football Association of Singapore (FAS)) will be facilitating a Q & A with Cikgu Sies Senan (Teacher and Football Master, Juying Secondary School) in attendance. Participants will learn about Cikgu Sies Senan’s coaching philosophy and journey, as well as what it takes to develop players who can represent the country at various levels.

About the Presenter

Cikgu Sies Senan (Teacher and Football Master, Juying Secondary School) is a renowned teacher-coach who have produced a stream of players who went on to represent Singapore at different levels. With more than 50 years of coaching experience, Cikgu Sies Senan’s career highlights include:

  • 2001 – Caretaker Coach, Gombak United Football Club (F.C.)
  • 2000 to 2001 – Assistant Coach, Gombak United F.C.
  • 1999 – Chairman, Singapore Football Coaches Association
  • 1995 to 1998 – Coach, Singapore National Youth Football Team
  • 1995 – Coach / Manager, Lion City Cup U16 Squad (who became the Champions)
  • 1990 – Coach, Lion City Cup U16 Squad (who became the Champions)
  • 1985 – Coach, Bukit Timah Constituency Sports Club (CSC) (Prime Minister’s Cup Champion)
  • 1983 to 1995 – Football Master, Jin Tai Secondary School
  • 1982 – 1st Asian coach on a study tour to Germany
