Coaches Circle Time 02: Carving Out a Career in Sports – Life after Football by CoachSG and Football Association of Singapore (FAS) Coach Education & Development

At this sharing session, Mr Ratna Suffian (Physical Education (PE) Lecturer, Institute of Technical Education (ITE) College East) will share how he managed to carve out a career in sports after his life as a professional footballer.

At the end of this session, Football Association of Singapore (FAS)) will facilitate a Q&A session with Mr Ratna.

About the Presenter

Mr Ratna Suffian is a former professional footballer in the Singaporean League (S-League). Between 1998 to 2011, he played for several local clubs including Home United Football Club (F.C.), Tanjong Pagar United F.C., Woodlands Wellington F.C., Balestier Khalsa F.C. and Sengkang Punggol F.C. After his playing career, he became a PE Lecturer at ITE College East. He currently coaches ITE College East’s Combined Women’s Team in POL-ITE and ITE tournaments, as well as Simei United Women’s Team in the FAS Women’s National League (WNL) and Women’s Premier League (WPL). Ratna was named ITE College East Teacher of the Year in 2017 and FAS WNL Coach of the Year in 2018.
