Applied Sports Psychology Course by Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP)

Wondering what is takes to perform at the highest level or being resilient when you are out of sporting action due to sporting injuries?
This 2-full day course uses a multi-modal approach to learning via mini-lectures, hands-on activities and exercises, small group interactive discussions, mini oral presentations and case-based scenario discussions. Participants will:
- Gain essential knowledge and skills to assess, plan and conduct mental skills training in their chosen sport
- Apply mental skills for injury rehabilitation and recovery
- Teach mental skills to others in an interactive, engaging way

In-class assessments will be conducted. Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass assessments.
- 18 years old and above
- Competed in sport as an athlete for at least 2 years
- Some background in any of the following would be useful but not necessary:
a. National Coaching Accreditation Programme (NCAP) Level 1 Theory or above;
b. SG-Coach certification or its equivalent
About the Presenter
This course is conducted by Mr Edgar Tham (Sport & Performance Psychologist) and his team of experienced multi-sport trainers. Edgar has worked with more than 40 different performance domains (e.g. sports, music, performing arts, military, civil defence, business, sales, online forex/futures trading, motor racing, professional poker, etc) from the schools to world championships level since 1993.
