Coach Development Grant (CDG) Sharing Session: Let’s Play Sitting Volleyball

(For All NROC Coaches)

Description

At this workshop, CDG recipient Ms Stefanie Ang (NROC disability sports coach) will be sharing her learning / coaching experience from her recent trip to the World ParaVolley Level 1 Coach course in South Korea.

Participants will learn:

  • About World Para Volley
  • Who can play?
  • Getting into actions (Let’s Play Sitting Volleyball)

About the Presenter

Stefanie Ang has about 12 years of experience in disability sports and has been coaching para sports primarily at the community level. She led teams to various international competitions for Boccia and was part of the organising committee for the 8th ASEAN Para Games Singapore 2015 and the 9th ASEAN Para Game Kuala Lumpur 2017. She is also a qualified International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Coach Educator for the IPC Introduction to Para Sports Coaching Programme. Being a volleyball player, she pursued the World ParaVolley Level 1 Coach course in South Korea to bring this exciting sport to more people in Singapore.
